This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and billing on Talsense LLC ("we," "us," or "our") at talsense.com. All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor. Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you may have under the laws of your country of purchase.
1Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the link in your subscription confirmation email. Upon cancellation:
- Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- No further charges are made after cancellation takes effect.
- Your account reverts to the free tier when the current period ends.
- Overage charges are disabled immediately upon cancellation.
Cancellations do not automatically generate a monetary refund for the current billing period, except where required by applicable law (see Section 4 — Statutory Rights).
2Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full 12-month period at a discounted rate (20% off the monthly price). Outside of any applicable statutory withdrawal rights (see Section 4), annual subscriptions are non-refundable once purchased. You may cancel at any time to prevent renewal; your plan remains active for the remainder of the paid annual period.
Monthly credit allocations within annual plans follow the same expiry rules as monthly subscriptions — credits expire at the end of each monthly period within the annual term and do not roll over.
3Credit Refunds for Platform Failures
Talsense uses a credit system to meter AI operations (interviews, resume reviews, final reviews, and autofills). Credit refunds restore your account credit balance — they are not monetary refunds to your payment method.
If an AI operation fails due to a platform error on our side (not caused by the user, candidate, or their equipment — such as poor internet, device issues, or candidate abandonment), the credits consumed by that operation are automatically refunded to your account. No support ticket is required.
Accounts that exceed a 10% credit refund rate within a single billing cycle may be flagged for review to prevent abuse of the refund system.
4Statutory Withdrawal Rights
If you are a consumer residing in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of completing a transaction, without giving any reason, and receive a full refund of the charges paid.
Please note: If during your transaction you agreed for us to make the service available before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and you have started using the service (such as conducting interviews, running resume reviews, or consuming credits), your right of withdrawal may be lost or reduced in proportion to use already provided.
To exercise your withdrawal rights, please submit a request through the buyer portal link in your subscription confirmation email, or contact us at contact@talsense.com. Nothing in this policy affects any other mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your country of purchase.
5Overage Charges
Overage charges are incurred when your monthly credit allowance is exhausted and additional AI operations are performed. Overage rates are published on our pricing page. Overage is billed at the end of the billing cycle or when the accumulated overage balance reaches $50, whichever occurs first.
Overage charges are non-refundable once the underlying AI operations have been successfully completed. If an operation that incurred overage charges fails due to a platform error, the overage portion is reversed along with the credit portion as part of the standard automatic credit refund process.
6Unused Credits at Cancellation
Subject to any applicable statutory withdrawal rights, subscription credits that remain unused at the time of cancellation or plan downgrade are forfeited. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and will not be refunded as money to your payment method. This applies to both monthly and annual subscriptions.
7Billing Disputes
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us at contact@talsense.com before raising a dispute with your bank or card issuer. We aim to resolve billing issues within 3 business days. Contacting us directly typically results in faster resolution than a formal dispute process.
If a chargeback is raised that we reasonably determine to constitute fraud or abuse of payment protection mechanisms (such as claiming non-delivery of a service that has been accessed and used), we reserve the right to suspend access to the platform pending investigation.
8Enterprise Plans
Refund and cancellation terms for Enterprise customers invoiced directly by Talsense LLC (outside of our standard payment processor) are governed by the individual service agreement. Where no specific terms are agreed, the annual subscription policy (Section 2) applies by default. For Enterprise billing questions, contact contact@talsense.com.
